First Year Advising Center

The First Year Advising Center fosters exploration and growth as new students transition to college. We provide tailored services and connections to campus resources that empower students to define their educational goals and achieve academic success.

  
FYAC at-a-glance:

• All students must meet with their adviser before registration for the 2024-2025 academic year opens in late March. A hold will be placed on your account, and you will not be able to register or withdraw from any courses until this requirement is met. Adviser calendars fill up fast, so schedule your winter required appointment today!
  
  
• To help you complete your required appointment, drop-in hours are available:
  • Monday, March 18 through Thursday, March 28
  • 10 am to 4 pm daily 
  • In person: stop in to 101 North Foundation Hall
  • Virtual: call our office at 248-370-3227 to be added to the drop-in list.  When an adviser is ready to meet with you, they will send a Google Meet link for you to join.
  • Due to high demand, we may not be able to accommodate all students every day. We recommend you drop in early for the best opportunity to be seen.
